The company is owned and led by Lance Heck, a lifelong construction professional with decades of hands-on industry experience. Lance began his career in 1975 as a concrete finisher and went on to own and operate Heck Concrete Pumping in 1979. His background in concrete, excavation, and site development gives him a practical, field-driven understanding of every phase of construction.

In 2001, Lance founded Great Northwest Excavation with the goal of providing dependable excavation and concrete services backed by experience, accountability, and craftsmanship. His leadership style is rooted in integrity, direct communication, and personal involvement in projects, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to specification.
